genitivul substantivelor

In lb.engleza cazul genitiv se poate indica in 2 feluri:

1.daca posesorul este fiinta umana:
-folosim notatia `s
In acest caz posesorul sta in fata iar acesta este urmat de obiectul posedat.

Exemple:
Tom`s phone,the dog`s food.

-cu -`s exprimam si posedatul
-in cazul tarilor : New Zealand`s attitude
-in cazul mijloacelor de transport : the taxi`s door
-in cazul perioadei de timp : today`s newspaper
-in cazul anumitor expresii:for God`s sake from bird `s -eye view
-in cazul genitivului la plural relatia posesiva se indica numai prin apostrof: the ladies` room,my parents` house
-la substantivele care formeaza pluralul neregulat,notatia este `s:
the men`s club,the children`s books

2.daca posesorul nu este fiinta umana:
-folosim structura of ,unde in fata sta obiectul posedat,dupa care prefixul of este urmat de posesor.
exemple :the color of your dress ,the shape of the house
Pentru exprimarea "posedarii multiple" :he is a friend of my father`s,he isone my friend`s friends
